Meeting with a therapist face-to-face is an effective way to work through whatever life changes, situations, or circumstances you may currently be experiencing. One of the benefits of an in-person Christian counseling session is the development of trust and understanding that typically encourages self-realization in our clients. From there, face-to-face counseling continues to help our clients acknowledge problems and issues, and encourages them to think up solutions with gentle help and guidance from the counselor.

We specialize in Christian counseling that is effective, spiritual, and theologically grounded. Through counseling you will learn why you feel the way you do, and how to manage emotions and increase self-confidence.

We offer our clients several convenient alternative locations for counseling. Sessions can be held in your favorite park, coffee-shop or in a client’s home. Additional locations will be considered by the therapist if the client has an alternative location in mind.

Nature-based  or park therapy  is an emerging approach to healing. Growing research indicates that simply being in the presence of nature has positive effects on our inner well being. Conducting a counseling session in a local park can be both therapeutic and relaxing for the client.

Coffee-ShopTherapy  tends to be more relaxing than in a stuffy counseling office. Clients can relax with a therapist while enjoying their favorite coffee or tea as they explore what brought them to counseling. The idea behind every coffee shop’s atmosphere is to attract people and make them feel welcome and comfortable. In therapy, we hold the same vision.  We want our clients to feel comfortable and welcomed as they undergo therapy. The coffee-shop session location has become a popular trend among our clients because it offers a level of comfort that would otherwise not exist in an office visit environment.

Home-based therapy  takes place at the home of a person in therapy rather than in an office. Home-based counseling is usually provided at the kitchen table or in a living room. In these settings, Clients tend to feel more comfortable during counseling. When treatment is provided at home, the therapeutic relationship may develop more quickly. This is because people in therapy can be more relaxed in their own homes than in an office. Instead of relying on self-reporting, therapists may get deeper insights from seeing how and where people live. As a result, effective treatment can progress, and healing may happen more easily.
